Brantford Titans Welcome Samantha Book as the New Athletic Therapist
The Brantford Titans are excited to announce that Samantha Book will join the team as the Athletic Therapist for the upcoming season. Sam brings a deep connection to the Brantford community, having grown up playing sports in the area, and now she’s ready to give back by keeping the Titans in peak physical condition.
Sam’s journey into sports medicine was a natural progression from her love for health and fitness. She pursued her passion by earning a BA in Kinesiology and a certificate in Athletic Therapy from York University. To further her expertise, she obtained a diploma in Massage Therapy from the Ontario College of Health and Technology. Sam is not only a certified athletic therapist but also a registered massage therapist, maintaining good standing with both the Canadian Athletic Therapists Association (CATA) and the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO).
Her experience in sports therapy is extensive and includes working with various junior hockey and lacrosse teams in the Brantford area. Over the past few seasons, Sam has provided her skills and care to teams such as the Brantford 99ers Jr.A (2022/23, 2023/24 seasons), the Six Nations Arrows Jr.A (2022, 2023, 2024 seasons), and the Brantford Warriors Jr.C (2023, 2024 seasons).
Samantha is eager to bring her expertise to the Titans, saying “I’m happy to be in Brantford again this year, I was previously with the Jr A club before their move and was looking for another team when the Titans opportunity came along. I’m happy to see some familiar faces and meet the new guys. I’m looking forward to what the new organization will bring for this season!”
As the Titans gear up for an exciting season, having Sam on board ensures that the players have top-notch care and support to keep them in the game. Welcome to the Titans family, Sam!
